Here is another sweet story found in the Home For Christmas e-book set that I picked up for $0.99 on amazon.com. Grace and Chris return home to Gatlinburg, TN to check on their aging parents during the Christmas season. They were once neighbors and good friends, but time and a heart-breaking loss of a dear friend have left a gap in their friendship. As they seek to learn about one another again they discover that God offers grace, healing, and love. This is a gentle romance set in one of my favorite places, Gatlinburg, TN. It is a positive story that doesn’t get weighed down with romantic angst between the characters. Grace seems to just radiate joy in all she does and with everyone
she encounters including Chris. The only unusual thing I noticed about the story is that both main characters are visiting their parents, but the story only focuses on Grace’s parents and not Chris’s. You would think that his parents would want to meet the girl he is dating, and planning to marry. This doesn’t distract from the story necessarily, but it left me wondering what happened to Chris’s parents.
Note to my readers: This is the final review for the Home for Christmas ebook set. It was a very affordable way to explore new authors and all of the stories offered good cheer and faith to bolster the Christmas spirit. I enjoyed the series and I hope you will too.
