Review Time: Stealing the Preacher by Karen Witemeyer

stealing-the-preacher-by-karen-witemeyerDelightful faith-filled, western romance that will tickle your funny bone and charm your heart.  Crockett Archer has his first opportunity to become a full-fledged pastor.  He is excited and anxious as the train he is riding carries him closer to the town where he is to give a sample sermon.  Train robbers; however, interrupt his plans when they hijack his train and decide to steal the preacher.  Unexpected events continue from there and poor Reverend Crockett finds that God uses unexpected and sometimes dangerous events to place people right where God needs them.  Really sweet, humorous, story that will have you swooning after the preacher, as well as cheering for determine, hardworking Joanna, who is desperate to bring her outlaw father to salvation in Christ.  I’m generally not a strong fan of historical western romance, and this story is a little predictable, but Ms. Witemeyer’s writing is so endearing and just the style I need when I want to be uplifted in spirit and faith.
